HOUSTON -- W&T Offshore says it made a discovery with well No. 4 on the Healey prospect in Green Canyon block 82 in 2,420 ft (738 m) of water. The company plans to announce the official well results in February.
"One of the successful wells we drilled (in 2007) was our Green Canyon block 82 Healey No. 4 deepwater well," says Tracy Krohn, chairman and CEO of W&T Offshore.
"We have completed the drilling portion of the well and are evaluating our findings currently. While it is too early to discuss specifics about the discovery, we anticipate making further announcements during our year-end conference call in February."
SemisubmersibleNoble Lorris Bouzigard drilled the Healey well.
