CALGARY, Alberta –Canadian Superior Energy Inc. has discovered natural gas at its Bounty exploration well in Intrepid block 5(c) offshore Trinidad. Drilled to TD of 17,360 ft (5,291 m) the well encountered 200 ft (61 m) of pay, Canadian Superior says, capable of 200 MMcf/d production rates.
Operations are under way to demobilize the testing equipment and move theKan Tan IV semisubmersible drilling rig to a third exploration well on Intrepid block 5(c) which should spud by the end of August 2008.
