DUBLIN, Ireland – Providence Resources has taken delivery of the semisubmersible GSF Arctic III rig for appraisal drilling on the Barryroe discovery off southern Ireland.
The rig is being mobilized to the Celtic Sea from the North Sea. Drilling is expected to start within the next fortnight.
Providence operates the Barryroe licence (SEL 1/11) in partnership with San Leon Energy and Lansdowne Oil & Gas.
