OSLO, Norway – Det Norske Oljeselskap has authorization from Petroleum Safety Authority Norway for an exploration well in the southern Norwegian North Sea.
The jackupMærsk Giant is expected to start drilling well 2/1-15 in license 542 in early August. Planned duration is 60 days, depending on whether a discovery results.
Water depth is around 70 m (230 ft).
