STRAUME, Norway – RWE Dea Norge has contracted AGR for well services to support exploration drilling in the Titan area of the Norwegian North Sea.
AGR will be responsible for planning, execution, and reporting for the project. Two wells will be delivered next year using the semisubmersibleLeiv Eiriksson.
Titan is in block 36/9 in a water depth of 360-370 m (1,181-1,214 ft). RWE Dea Norge discovered the oil and gas field with a well in license PL420 in 2010.
Recently, AGR managed awildcat high-pressure/high-temperature well for RWE Dea Norge in an environmentally sensitive area in the central Norwegian Sea. This was allegedly the seventh deepest well drilled on the Norwegian continental shelf and the second hottest ever in terms of temperature.
