Offshore staff
HOUSTON – The US offshore drilling rig count remains unchanged at 21 over last week and down eight rigs year over year, according to the Baker Hughes Weekly Rig Count of June 10, 2016.
The USGulf of Mexico rig count also remains unchanged at 20 units, according to the report.
The overall US rig count, onshore and offshore, was up six week-over-week at 414, with oil rigs up three at 328, gas rigs up three to 85, and miscellaneous rigs unchanged at one.
Compared to this time last year, the overall US rig count is down 445 rigs, with oil rigs down 307, gas rigs down 136, and miscellaneous rigs down two.
