    Det norske to add more oil production wells at Volund offshore Norway

    Petroleum Safety Authority Norway has authorized the semisubmersible Transocean Winner to drill and complete production wells on the Volund oil field.

    OSLO, Norway – Petroleum Safety Authority Norway has authorized the semisubmersible Transocean Winner to drill and complete production wells on the Volund oil field.

    Volund is an oil field in 120-130 m (393-426 ft) of water in theNorwegian North Sea. Production is tied back to the Alvheim FPSO, 10 km (6.2 mi) to the south via three horizontal wells.

    Det norske oljeselskap operates both fields.
