Vår Energi and Halliburton have formed a five-year drilling services partnership covering the Norwegian operator’s exploration and production drilling programs across the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
SANDNES, Norway—Vår Energi and Halliburton have formed a five-year drilling services partnership covering the Norwegian operator’s exploration and production drilling programs across the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
Ingrid Sølvberg, executive vice president of Technology, Drilling and Subsurface at Vår Energi, said, “We are on track to deliver on our end-2025 production target, an increase of more than 50% from today’s level …teaming up with Halliburton will be a key enabler in meeting our ambitious long-term growth targets.”
The company has interests in 158 licenses and 39 producing fields with drilling activities focused around four strategic hubs in the Balder/Grane area, the North Sea, the Norwegian Sea and the Barents Sea.
The new partnership is said to build on an already established collaboration model with incentives to work as an integrated team toward common goals and close collaboration and standardization of the supply chain.
