    Noble rig contracted by bp for UK well campaign

    HOUSTON — Noble will provide the harsh environment jackup Noble Innovator to bp for a one-year drilling and plugging and abandonment program in the UK North Sea, starting next May.

    The $50 million contract carries a one-year extension option.

    Following completion of the rig’s current work in the UK sector, it will undergo a special periodic survey before starting its assignment with bp.
