ATHENS, Greece — The Stena IceMAX drillship has reentered the Karish Main-04 exploration and appraisal well offshore Egypt, according to Energean's latest trading statement.

Previously, the top hole had been drilled.

Later this summer the rig will reenter and sidetrack the KN-01 exploration well, completing it as a producer.

The second oil train and second gas sales riser for the Energean Power FPSO, which is expected to reach Israel next month, are progressing and should both come onstream in second-half 2023.

Offshore Egypt, subsea installations have started for the company’s NEA/NI development, and the first gas well will be drilled soon.

Off Croatia, FEED activities continue for the development of the Irena gas field, 5 km north of the Izabela Field, with final investment decision targeted for this fall. Energean also is assessing the adjacent Ivona gas prospect.

In Montenegro, farm-out options are under review for drilling of a cluster of near-shore gas prospects on blocks 26 and 30 ahead of the license expiry on July 14.

Finally, Energean expects to deliver first oil from its Epsilon development off western Greece in mid-2023 and to complete pre-FEED for the Prinos Carbon Capture and Storage project in the same region during the current quarter.
