Capricorn drilling focus on North Sea, offshore Mexico

Capricorn has interests in four blocks in the Gulf of Mexico, two as operator (blocks 9 and 15) and two as nonoperator (blocks 7 and 10).

EDINBURGH, UK — Capricorn expects to shortly spud a well on the Diadem prospect in the U.K. North Sea.
CEO Simon Thomson added that the company also was reviewing new 3D seismic over its southern North Sea acreage ahead of a drilling decision later this year.
In offshore Mexico Block 7, operated by Eni, the company expects to drill its final commitment well this year, and it is reviewing future investment and partnering strategies offshore Mauritania and Suriname.
