ABU DHABI, UAE – ADNOC has contracted Baker Hughes to provide equipment and services to multiple fields and projects in the UAE at the ADIPEC exhibition.
Baker Hughes’ Surface Pressure Control product line in the Oilfield Equipment business will provide manufacturing, supply, storage, and servicing of surface wellhead and tree systems with local partner Al Ghaith Oilfield Supplies & Services Co.
The contract, said to be one of the largest ever awarded by ADNOC for wellheads, covers the company’s offshore and onshore fields in the UAE for the next 10 years.
In addition, Baker Hughes will repair, maintain, and issue spares for the equipment.
Under a separate, five-year contract, Baker Hughes’ Oilfield Services business will manufacture, supply, store, install, and service liner hanger systems with local partner Uni-Arab Engineering & Oilfield Service.
First delivery of the surface wellheads and trees contract work is due early next year, with the first delivery under the liner hanger systems contract to follow in the second half of 2022.
These awards should help ADNOC satisfy its drilling needs as it expands its production capacity.
