LONDON – Tullow Oil plans to P&A its first operated exploration well offshore Suriname, after encountering only minor oil shows.
The drillship Stena Forth drilled the well on the Goliathberg-Voltzberg North prospect in block 47 in 1,856 m (6,089 ft) of water, to a TD of 5,060 m (16,601 ft).
Tullow and partners Petroandina Resources (Pluspetrol) and Ratio Suriname plan to assess the results before deciding on further activity.
