Noble Valiant drillship
The Noble Valiant drillship has spud the Who Dat West exploration well MC 629-1 for LLOG in the US Gulf of Mexico.
The location is 31 km west of the Who Dat floating production system in Mississippi Canyon lease 629 in 740 m water depth.
According to partner Karoon Energy's Dec. 30 ASX release, the well will test two amplitude-supported Upper Miocene reservoir prospects with a planned measured depth of about 7,150 m and a maximum hole inclination of 34 degrees,and it should take roughly 50 days to drill and assess the results.
Netherland Sewell and Associates estimates the prospective resources at 77 MMboe.
