NEW DELHI, India – ONGC has discovered oil and gas in the Mumbai Offshore basin off western India.
Well BS-17-1, drilled in the West of Bassein ML block, tested three subsurface intervals.
These flowed respectively gas and condensate, oil and gas, and gas/ condensate from multi-layered reservoirs in the Bassein, Mukta and Heera formations, opening a new play fairway in the adjoining area, the company added.
