SINGAPORE – The semisubmersible West Hercules has spudded the Apollonia exploration well for operator Equinor in the Norwegian Sea.
According to Rex International Holding, the majority owner of Equinor’s partner Lime Petroleum, the well will target a reservoir in Jurassic section.
The location is in the Halten Terrace area, between the producing Åsgard and Midgard gas fields.
If the well is successful, a side track could follow for appraisal purposes.
