Offshore staff
BAKU, Azerbaijan – Turan Drilling & Engineering Co., owned by KCA Deutag and SOCAR, has taken on various activities, including maintenance, for BP Exploration (Caspian Sea).
Under the agreement, the company will manage the SAP maintenance system, wells procurement, inventory, storage and warehousing for the BP Global Wells Organisation in Azerbaijan.
Turan has recruited a further 71 people, mostly Azerbaijani nationals, to support the contract, which is an amendment to an award by BP in 2019 covering operations and maintenance of seven platform drilling rigs in the Caspian Sea (the East, West and Central Azeri, Deepwater Gunashli, West Chirag, Chirag).
