Hurricane granted more time for west of Shetland Lincoln wells

Britain’s Oil and Gas Authority has responded to Hurricane Energy’s requests to defer planned drilling activities in license P1368, part of the Greater Warwick Area west of Shetland.

GODALMING, UK – Britain’s Oil and Gas Authority (OGA) has responded to Hurricane Energy’s requests to defer planned drilling activities in license P1368, part of the Greater Warwick Area west of Shetland.
Hurricane made its requests due to operating difficulties brought on by the COVID-19 restrictions.
The OGA has agreed to extending the deadline for initiating drilling of a commitment well on the basement Lincoln discovery to June 30, 2022, and for P&A of the Lincoln Crestal (205/26b-14) well until June 30, 2021.
