LYNGBY, Denmark – Tullow Oil has notified Maersk Drilling of the early termination of the drillship Maersk Venturer offshore Ghana.
The vessel will now likely finish its campaign in June, 20 months ahead of the anticipated termination date.
Maersk Drilling said its revenue contract backlog will fall by $175 million covering the cancelled period.
The company added it would act to reduce the Maersk Venturer’s operating costs following the end of the contract.
