SAN DONATO MILANESE, Italy – Saipem has received drilling contracts offshore Romania and Abu Dhabi worth more than $160 million.
In the Black Sea off Romania, the semisubmersible Scarabeo 9 has secured a one-well contract. Drilling is expected to begin in 4Q 2019. The company said the rig can operate in the area because it is able to lower its tower which enables crossing of the Bosphorus Strait.

Offshore Abu Dhabi, the high-spec jackup Perro Negro 8 has received a four-year contract, in continuity with current operations.
