Celeros Flow Technology will supply two new water injection systems, including electric motors and variable frequency drives, for a new power-from-shore project in the Norwegian Sea.
Celeros Flow Technology has been appointed by Aker Solutions to supply two new water injection packages as part of the Draugen platform electrification project.
Celeros Flow Technology will supply two new water injection systems, including electric motors and variable frequency drives, for a new power-from-shore project in the Norwegian Sea.
The pump packages will replace gas turbine-driven units on OKEA’s Draugen platform, 145 km offshore. Celeros is providing its ClydeUnion pumps, with the skidded packages under assembly in Glasgow.
Aker Solutions is managing the platform engineering and upgrade work associated with the electrification.
The project involves replacing both the existing main power and water injection pump turbines with an electrical power supply from a new substation onshore, reducing CO2 emissions by up to 200,000 metric tons/year.
Work should be completed in 2026.
