ABERDEEN, UK – Subsea Technologies Ltd. has secured a Norwegian patent for its Xtreme Release Connector for subsea riser connections.
The system, claimed to have no maximum disconnect angle, is said to give a vessel’s crew sufficient time to respond to challenging scenarios without the risk of becoming stuck to the wellhead or damaging the connector.
