Phased reintroduction of new personal locator beacons (PLBs) by the UK offshore oil and gas industry is scheduled to begin in February.

ABERDEEN, UK -- Phased reintroduction of new personal locator beacons (PLBs) by the UK offshore oil and gas industry is scheduled to begin in February.
All of the UK’s offshore transport hubs will have the new PLBs within two weeks, beginning with the Aberdeen hub, followed by the Southern North Sea helicopter hubs, and Scatsa in Shetland, says Oil & Gas UK.
