OSLO, Norway -- OGX Brazil has contracted BW Offshore to complete the FPSO OSX-1, due to operate for OGX in Brazil’s Campos basin.
The scope of work for the $150-million contract includes topside modifications for heavy oil processing, water separation, and power generation. APL, a subsidiary of BW Offshore, will supply a submerged turret production system.
Additionally, BW Offshore will act as the project manager, assisting a subsidiary of OGX Brasil by providing engineering services, detailing equipment required for the customization activity, and supporting procurement.
