Statoil (OSE:STL; NYSE:STO) has issued a letter of intent to AF Gruppen for six wireline cranes for the Statfjord complex in the North Sea.

OSLO, Norway – Statoil (OSE:STL; NYSE:STO) has issued a letter of intent to AF Gruppen for six wireline cranes for the Statfjord complex in the North Sea.
The $9.8-million order covers two cranes at the Statfjord C platform, and four at Statfjord B. These will be supplied with a hydraulic power unit.
Construction will start next month, and is expected to be completed in February 2014.
