MOSCOW – VolgogradNIPImorneft has implemented AVEVA Marine software for its jackup platform projects in the Caspian Sea. AVEVA’s contract includes provision of comprehensive services for implementation and training.

According to AVEVA, VolgodgradNIPImorneft Institute chose a 3D engineering design solution that met the needs both of a marine environment and design standards such as detailed piping design.

Previously, the institute was using two divergent systems that presented problems in terms of access for all project designers to work on the same model. AVEVA Marine allows concurrent, multi-location engineering.

Evgeny Fedotov, senior VP Russia, India and Middle East, AVEVA said: “VolgodgradNIPImorneft Institute will benefit from the fundamental capabilities of AVEVA Marine such as automatic change highlighting across technical disciplines, allowing engineering teams to greatly improve the ability to meet important project deadlines.

“By implementing AVEVA Marine and adopting AVEVA’s Integrated Engineering & Design approach, they will improve project efficiency and reduce costs through a single managed information model.”
