SOLA, Norway — Equinor has extended IKM Testing’s maintenance framework agreement for its Norwegian offshore installations and onshore facilities by four years until spring 2028.

The two companies operate a strategic collaboration under which they have jointly developed technology and methods for efficient operation and optimal execution of turnarounds.

IKM Testing’s contract covers planning and execution of activities related to assistance in shutting down installations, testing and cleaning during the shutdown period, and preparing for a resumption of production after completion of the turnaround.

In addition, the framework agreement, which started in 2016, covers maintenance during regular operation periods between turnarounds.

IKM Testing estimates annual turnover under the agreement at NOK200 million to NOK300 million ($18.4 million to $27.6 million) in recent years, while the value of the extension is about NOK1 billion ($91.8 million).
