Wood conducting FEED for Goodwyn Alpha offshore compression project

Woodside Energy has contracted Wood to perform the FEED for the Goodwyn Alpha Low-Low Pressure (LLP) project offshore Western Australia.

For more than 35 years, the North West Shelf has been delivering natural gas to customers in Australia and around the world, Woodside says.

The Goodwyn A platform is connected to the condensate-rich Goodwyn gas field, located 23 km southwest of the North Rankin A platform and about 135 km northwest of Karratha.

PERTH, Australia — Woodside Energy has contracted Wood to perform the FEED for the Goodwyn Alpha Low-Low Pressure (LLP) project offshore Western Australia.

Wood’s teams in Perth will provide engineering design to incorporate the additional compression required to enhance production, along with associated modifications to existing facilities.

The development is part of the North West Shelf (NWS) Project.

In addition, Woodside has extended Wood’s brownfield engineering, procurement and construction management contract to support operations at the NWS until October 2025.

Earlier this month, Shell awarded Wood a three-year framework agreement to continue to providing services for its global greenfield and brownfield projects, along with support for Shell developments in carbon capture, low-carbon fuels and hydrogen.

Wood will apply its capabilities in decarbonization, digitalization and asset life extension via its consulting and engineering teams in Europe, North America, Latin America, Southeast Asia, Australia and the Middle East.
