Sapura Energy details current offshore contracts lineup

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia — Sapura Energy has secured 10 new contracts for oil and gas field development work in the Asia-Pacific and Atlantic regions over the past six months with a combined value of about RM1.4 billion ($303 million).
Eni Congo has contracted Sapura Offshore and Sapura Energy DMCC to perform offshore transportation and installation services in the Republic of Congo, with the program due to finish in the fourth quarter.
Sapura Energy (Thailand) Ltd. has two contracts offshore Thailand from Chevron. The first covers engineering, procurement, construction, installation and removal of wellhead platforms and pipelines, and it should be completed by the end of this year.
The second contract involves provision of engineering, procurement, prefabrication, removal of subsea pipelines and wastewater management, and again, the work should conclude by year-end 2023.
Woodside Energy, operator of the North West Shelf project offshore Western Australia, has contracted Normand Sapura to perform intervention and removal of a plug in the wellbore of the Tidepole TPA03 subsea well. Work should finish by the third quarter.
In New Zealand, Sapura Energy is responsible for recovery of four mid-water arches, gravity bases and tethering chains from the offshore Tui Field, all to be delivered to a laydown area at Port Taranaki for processing and removal. The project should take place over a two-week period between December 2023 and March 2024.
Sapura Drilling has multiple new contracts to provide semisubmersible tender-assist drilling rig services offshore Malaysia. The first, awarded by Vestigo Petroleum, will employ the Sapura Berani semi-tender rig for the Larut Complex Late Life Redevelopment Project, with the offshore campaign set to be completed during the fourth quarter.
Sarawak Shell and Sabah Shell Petroleum are using the Sapura Esperanza semi-tender rig to drill two wells for the Timi development and one for the F14 infill campaign.
In the operations and maintenance business segment, Petronas Carigali has contracted Sapura Technology Solutions for field service engineering related to commissioning and startup of the KINEW Compressor Upgrading Project at the PCSB-SBA Erb West platform. The four-month program should end in the fourth quarter.
Sapura Nautilus, under a contract awarded by SapuraOMV Upstream (Sarawak), will provide a dynamic positioning accommodation workboat vessel for the E11R-B host tie-in modification works.
And the Group’s E&C team is in talks with clients on modifying the scope of certain following changes made by the clients during project execution.
