KONGSBERG, Norway — Shell Global Solutions International has awarded Kongsberg Digital a five-year agreement to apply the latter’s digital twin technology to digitalize Shell Global facilities.
This is an amendment to a framework agreement signed in 2020, involving a multiple-asset deployment plan and further application.
According to Kongsberg Digital, its digital twin technology provides insight and automated workflows to optimize operations and facility management.
The two companies have been collaborating over the past four years on digitalization initiatives in the energy sector.
