Logan installs, commissions BOP safety cages

Logan Industries has delivered a set of safety cages to keep offshore technicians safe while inspecting subsea connectors on BOP stacks while on deck.

HEMPSTEAD, TexasLogan Industries has completed the design, fabrication, and delivery of a set of safety cages to keep offshore technicians safe while inspecting subsea connectors on BOP stacks while on deck.

Its safety cage is designed to protect the safety of technicians working near the BOP, in the rare event that the load should accidentally drop. The safety cage is designed to absorb and stop a falling load of up to 450,000 lbs.

The company’s engineering team used their expertise in basic physics and engineering principles to come in with a solution that makes the customer’s operation more efficient and safer.

The company engineered and manufactured the safety cage at its facility in Hempstead, Texas.
