Talos Energy has agreed to sell an additional 30.1% interest in Talos Mexico to Zamajal, a company co-owned by Grupo Carso and Control Empresarial de Capitale.
Upon closing of the transaction, Talos will receive $49.7 million followed by a further $33 million once the Zama field offshore Mexico has produced first oil.
Assuming regulatory approvals, Talos Mexico (which has a 17.4% interest in Zama) will then be owned 20% by Talos Energy and 80% by Zamajal.
