PERTH, Australia -- Apache Energy has awarded Clough a $60 million contract for the Varanus Island gas plant repairs.
The contract comprises repairs required as a result of the explosion that caused the temporary shut down of operations on Varanus Island from June 2008.
Varanus Island is approximately 116 km (72 mi) west of Dampier, Western Australia. The gas facility generates around 30% of Western Australia's domestic gas supply.
