Fluor, SMNM win Sakhalin construction services contract

KentzSMNM, the Sakhalin-based company comprised of Kentz Russia and SakhalinMorNetfeMontazh(SMNM), and Fluor Daniel Eurasia (FDEI) have won a civil engineering contract to provide site development, piling, and road construction services for the Sakhalin development.

LONDON -- KentzSMNM, the Sakhalin-based company comprised of Kentz Russia and SakhalinMorNetfeMontazh(SMNM), and Fluor Daniel Eurasia (FDEI) have won a civil engineering contract to provide site development, piling, and road construction services for the Sakhalin development.

The contract is to build a new 15-km (9.3-mi) road to service the well site associated with the Sakhalin-1 Odoptu development on the east coast of Sakhalin Island. The project also includes site clearance and development work in preparation for the relocation of ENL's Chayvo-based Yastreb drill rig and interim production facility.
