SUFFOLK, UK -- Amarinth has selected a new agent in the Scandinavian market, TUROteknikk AS of Norway.
According to Amarinth, TUROteknikk, based near Oslo, Norway, enables Amarinth to establish a firm foothold in the Scandinavian market, with a particular focus on business within the active Norwegian sector of the North Sea.
The partnership has secured an order to supply three new API 610 pumps to DONG Energy. These pumps will replace worn out Girdlestone water injection pumps that are used on oil platforms in the North Sea Siri field.
"Despite the well-discussed downturn in the UK economy, there are still plenty of opportunities for business in the North Sea," says Oliver Brigginshaw, MD of Amarinth. "With oil prices at an all time high, Amarinth is better placed than most to capitalize on new opportunities, particularly following our new agency agreement with TUROteknikk."
