Vår Energi makes organizational changes

Norwegian major Vår Energi has announced a new organizational structure and management team, with a goal was to produce 350,000 boe/d (net) by year-end 2025.

SANDNES, Norway  Norwegian major Vår Energi has announced a new organizational structure and management team.

CEO Torger Rød said the company’s goal was to produce 350,000 boe/d (net) by the end of 2025.

Under the new structure, Technology, Drilling and Subsurface forms one new business area, focused on accelerated use of new technological solutions and digitalization.

Project Development and Supply Chain Management, the other business area, will be responsible for Vår Energi’s project portfolio and optimization/standardization measures for its supply chain.

Ingrid Sølvberg and Atle Reinseth will be joining the management team, respectively responsible for Technology, Drilling and Subsurface and Project Development and Supply Chain Management.

Sølvberg has most recently served as director general at the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate. Previously, she held positions with Centrica and Statoil (now Equinor).

Reinseth comes from Equinor, with experience in procurement and project development, both there and at Acergy (now part of Subsea7).

Full implementation of the new structure should take place during the fourth quarter.
