OSLO, Norway – Aize and Aker BP have agreed to co- develop and implement the Aize cloud-based workspace to improve AkerBP’s Norwegian operations, maintenance and barrier management processes.

The service will allow Aker BP to visualize asset models in 2D or 3D and search/navigate through data for project execution and asset operations. Goals include reducing costs and increasing efficiency.

“Together with Aize and Cognite, Aker BP will build further on the investments and learnings from our digitalization journey to build a digital twin for operations,” said Ine Dolve, Senior Vice President of Operations & Asset Development at Aker BP.

The initial focus of the collaboration will be on improving condition-based maintenance on existing and new areas and managing barriers for all Aker BP’s assets.

“This will create the foundation for an end-to-end operational model for the future…enabling us to operate even more efficiently,” Dolve added.

Aize will match its in-house domain specialists with Aker subject matter experts in Aker BP that can help and challenge Aize to become a leading software provider in a complex industry. Both companies share the ambition to develop a product that scales across companies and industries.

Jarle Skrebergene, CEO of Aize, said: “So far, we have piloted the Aize product with some of the largest energy companies in the world, we are making progress in fully digitalizing project management through the NOA-Fulla project [in the North Sea], and we are cementing partnerships in the renewables sector.”
