MANAMA, BahrainSparrows Group has completed its first project for ASRY (Arab Shipbuilding & Repair Yard), providing crane condition evaluation services.

As part of ASRY’s modernization program Sparrows performed non-intrusive inspection of its 16 rail, crawler, and floating cranes throughout April and May.

This involved detailed visual checks of structural components, wire ropes and hook blocks and functional checks on safety limits and calibrations for the rated capacity indicator.

Established in 1977, ASRY has overhauled multiple jackups and other types of offshore and marine vessels at its repair and fabrication facility. The facility includes a drydock, two floating docks, 15 repair berths and twin slipways next to a fabrication area, workshop and service centers.
