Philippe Barril and Heerema Marine Contractors jointly decided that Barril will resign as CEO, effective Oct. 7. The other board members, led by Pieter Heerema as chairman of the board, have temporarily taken over Barril's duties. Barril stated on his LinkedIn that he is taking a "career break" and "career transition."
