ABERDEEN, UK – CAN Group has introduced an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) system, CANdrone, to perform inspections of offshore facilities.
Features include high-resolution 4k data capture and playback. The system is approved by the Civil Aviation Authority for live plant screening, providing visual inspections and structural assessments.
Adam Byrne, CAN Group director, said the UAV can “cut operational costs, as the use of drones for inspection can decrease asset downtime and reduces risk when carrying out inspections in hazardous environments.”
