LARNACA, Cyprus – Prosafe has secured first place commercial ranking following an online auction staged last January for safety and maintenance support vessels to operate offshore Brazil.
The auction was for a two-batch public opportunity, each running for three years, and Prosafe was ranked first for both batches.
The client will now nominate which batch the company’s accommodation support semisubmersibleSafe Eurus will be allocated to. Following a compliance evaluation process the contract will be formally issued.
On conclusion of the process and anticipated contract award, Prosafe will deliver the Safe Eurus within 150 days to operate with its sister vessel Safe Notos, which is already on charter offshore Brazil.
Prosafe credits the commercial flexibility of its delivery and financing terms for the vessel with COSCO Shipping (Qidong) Offshore Co. in China.
