LARNACA, Cyprus – Prosafe has issued an update on its accommodation/construction support rig fleet, currently operating in northwest Europe and offshore Brazil.
TheSafe Scandinavia has been on duty at Aker BP’s Ula platform in the southern Norwegian North Sea since Sept. 1, under a seven-month contract with extension options.
TheSafe Caledonia, currently laid-up at Scapa Flow off northern Scotland, is due to start a four-month assignment (with extension options) in mid-April for a major oil and gas operator in the UK.
Just before Christmas, Prosafe won an 80-day contract for theSafe Caledonia in the UK North Sea, starting in June 2020.
The rig will provide accommodation services to support a platform turnaround, but there is also an option to substitute theSafe Caledonia for another vessel in the Prosafe fleet.
TheSafe Boreas remains on contract with Equinor at the Mariner platform in the UK northern North Sea, and is due to remain on station through June, with six one-month extension options.
Equinor has also had theSafe Zephyrus in operation at the Johan Sverdrup complex in the Norwegian North Sea since May 2018.
Once the program finished, the rig is due to transfer to the Shetlands area in UK waters to provide gangway-connected operations at the Clair Ridge platform for BP.
TheRegalia will be reactivated during the current quarter to perform gangway-connected DP operations, ahead of a 60-day contract in the UK North Sea which starts in June.
TheSafe Concordia started a 200-day firm contract for MODEC offshore Brazil last October, and the Safe Notos remains on duty to Petrobras.
