OSLO, Norway – Faroe Petroleum has secured permission from Norway’s Petroleum Safety Authority to drill an exploratory well on the Rungne prospect in the North Sea.

The semisubmersibleTransocean Arctic should spud well 30/6-30 on license PL 825 in October, with operations potentially continuing for 44 days, depending on the result.
