SHARJAH, UAE – Subsea equipment/services provider Unique Group has formed a joint venture (JV) in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, with local company Charkin Maritime & Offshore Safety.
Charkin provides training company for the offshore oil and gas and maritime industries.
The JV, Unique Charkin System, will offer comprehensive support to Nigeria’s oil and gas market, Unique Group said, and will extend its services elsewhere in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Unique Group’s Survey Equipment, Diving & Life Support, Buoyancy & Ballast, On-Site Engineering and Specialised Boats divisions will all be active from the Port Harcourt office, with Mark Severn heading Business Development.
