MELBOURNE, Australia – Cue Energy has issued updates on ongoing programs at its fields offshore New Zealand and Indonesia.

At theMaari and Manaia fields in the Taranaki basin offshore New Zealand, operator OMV undertook scheduled well workovers and an annual maintenance shutdown.

All wells have since returned to operation, except MR3, which developed an electric fault and is currently undergoing repairs.

The partners have deferred plans to appraise the Manaia Moki reservoir for technical and commercial reasons.

On May 30, Horizon Oil completed its acquisition of Todd Maari 16% interest in surrounding license PMP 38160.

Offshore Madura Island, Indonesia, the Sampang PSC (Cue 15%) is currently a gas- only project with production from the Oyong and Wortel fields.

Rig procurement and detailed well planning are under way for the Paus-Biru 1 exploration well, targeted to spud in 4Q.

Paus Biru-1, to be drilled 27 km (16.8 mi) east of Oyong, will target a Mundu formation four-way dip structural closure, analogous to the producing zone in Oyong and Wortel.
