OSLO, Norway – The Norwegian Ministry of Petroleum and Energy has opened bids for permit areas west of Bergen set aside for exploitation of a subsea reservoir for injection and storage of carbon dioxide.
Applications must be submitted by Sept. 7, with awards to follow during the fall.
As with offshore production licenses, the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate will evaluate the proposed geotechnical work and advise the ministry prior to an award.
