WINDHOEK, Namibia – Azinam plans a multi-well drilling campaign offshore Namibia over the next 24 months on its acreage in the oil-prospective Walvis basin.
The company says its acreage position off Namibia is second only to that held by state oil company NAMCOR. Azinam has interests ranging from 20-42.5% in six licenses across multiple play types over most of the Walvis basin with potential resources of more than 10 Bboe.
Since entering the country in 2011, the company and Seacrest Capital Group have built an extensive 2D seismic database complemented by six proprietary modern 3D broadband seismic surveys covering a total of more than 13,000 sq km (5,019 sq mi).
