OSLO, Norway – Wellesley Petroleum has the green light from Norway’s Petroleum Safety Authority to drill the Kallåsen prospect in the North Sea.
The semisubmersibleTransocean Arctic should spud well 35/12-6 S in production license 925 early next month, with operations lasting up to 71 days in the event of a discovery.
The location is in 355 m (1,164 ft) of water, 14 km (8.7 mi) southwest of the Gjøa field and 18 km northeast of Vega Sør, a subsea satellite to the Gjøa platform.
