BERGEN, Norway – Statoil has awarded Odfjell Drilling a conditional letter of intent for the semisubmersible Deepsea Atlantic to drill six wells over an 18-month period, starting early next year.
The contract, valued at $160 million (including supply of casing running services by Odfjell Well Services) includes an option to on to continue operations for Statoil after the firm period.
