MELBOURNE, Australia – Production from the Maari field offshore New Zealand had to be suspended for four days recently, according to partner Cue Energy.
This was to allow for installation of multiphase pumps on the wellhead platform as part of the ‘Flowing Bottom Hole Pressure’ project, designed to reduce production pressure and expand production.
The partners are currently working on plans for an appraisal well to target the Manaia Moki reservoir.
Offshore Indonesia, Cue is a partner to operator Santos in the Sampang PSC.
Results from site surveys have been factored into site selection for the proposed Paus Biru-1 exploration well.
Santos is working on rig procurement processes and discussions with nearby operators concerning a rig share.
